Logisens Privacy Policy

Logisens Corporation (“Logisens,” “we,” “us,” “our,” “the company”) recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of all personally identifiable information (information that can be used to identify you, either directly or indirectly) provided by users of our products and our web sites, subscribers to our mailing lists, registrants for our events, participants in our surveys and contests and all of our customers. We have created this policy out of a fundamental respect for our users’ rights to privacy and to guide our relationship with our customers. This privacy policy explains how we collect, store and use such personally identifiable information.

Information collected from our websites.
When you browse a Logisens website, we collect no personally identifiable information about you without your permission. If you make a purchase on the website, however, we will collect financial information (such as credit card numbers, expiration dates and security codes) and shipping and contact information (such as shipping addresses, email addresses and phone numbers) as needed to complete a transaction and ship the products that you purchased.

Financial information is used only in connection with a purchase. We use outside billing companies to process credit card transactions securely. On certain occasions, we verify credit card data with a third party prior to order processing. We share your billing information with these companies insofar as is necessary of the processing of your payment or to prevent or detect fraud.

Shipping and contact information is used to ship products and to allow us to contact you with respect to any shipment. We may also use third parties to ship products. We share your shipping and contact data with these companies insofar as is necessary to ship products and to allow us to contact you with respect to any shipment.

All of these credit card processing and shipping companies have agreed not to retain, share, store or use your personal data for any secondary purposes.

Logisens Products.
When you begin using our products, you will create a user account that is password protected. When you create your account, you will create a user profile, which includes information such as your date of birth, your education level, the number of years that you have been in your position and a contact email address. We are not asking for your name or address to use our products. Biodata (temperature and electrical skin conductivity data) collected by your mouse is stored under your account. This data is used to determine your baseline stress level and to track changes in your level of stress. As you participate in Logisens stress reduction trainings on your computer, a list of those trainings that you begin, pause, decline and complete is also stored under your account. You may also choose to participate in any of a series of online questionnaires that are intended to help you identify levels of stress, its perceived changes, its perceived consequences and to evaluate your readiness to address those. Your responses to these questionnaires are also stored under your account. Your personal notes which you can insert into the data throughout the day are also stored under your account.

Information stored under your account may be accessed by you and by designated employees of Logisens (see “Storage of your data”). You may revise your user profile as necessary to correct any errors or make any updates. Biodata, training participation and questionnaire data stored under your account may be provided, with your consent, to your employer on an anonymous basis, aggregated with data for not fewer than seven other employees. User profile data, including your date of birth, education level, years in your position and contact email address is not shared with your employer without your consent. Your password provides access to your account and any data stored under that account, including the ability to modify or request that we modify any data stored under your account. Accordingly, you should not share your password with third parties.

The questionnaire entitled “Job in General” was developed by Bowling Green State University. The results you have filled out for that questionnaire, along with your profile data (age, gender, time in job and job title), may be shared with researchers at Bowling Green State University. The data is shared with the Bowling Green State University researchers on an anonymous basis, compliant with the current policies of the American Psychological Association code of ethics, especially 9.04, see http://www.apa.org/ethics/. Bowling Green State University uses this data to further study, evaluate and improving the “Job in General” scale.

Third party access exceptions.
It is Logisens’ policy not to share personally identifiable data with third parties other than as described above. There may, however, be circumstances where we are compelled by national, local or other governmental laws and/or regulations to do so. We may also share this information where we believe it necessary to protect your health and safety or that of another. Please note that we DO NOT monitor your personally identifiable data for health or other purposes. If you have any concerns about your health, you should seek assistance from a doctor or another appropriate professional. You should NOT expect that we will share your personally identifiable data with others to protect your health and safety or that of another.

We do not prevent you from sharing your personally identifiable data with third parties and you may provide that information to others as you think appropriate.

Storage of your data.
Your account and all data related to it are stored on our data processing equipment in the United States. The United States and the European Commission have agreed on a set of data protection principles and frequently asked questions (the “Safe Harbor Provisions”) to enable US companies to satisfy the requirements of European Union Law with respect to the protections to be given to personal data to be transferred from the EU to the United States. Logisens complies with the Safe Harbor Provisions (see http://www.export.gov/safeharbor/index.html).

Logisens is committed to taking reasonable precautions to protect against unauthorized access to, or disclosure of, your personal data. These measures include:

Data Protection Systems. To protect against unauthorized access to personally identifiable information by third parties, your electronic data held by Logisens is maintained on systems that are protected by secure network architectures that contain firewalls and intrusion detection devises. The servers holding this data are backed up on a regular basis to avoid the consequences of any inadvertent loss of data.

Access Limitations.
Internally, Logisens limits access to personally identifiable information on our servers to a select group of authorized employees. These employees are authorized to use personal data solely as required to perform their job duties.

Note that while we strive to protect all our personally identifiable information, we have all heard of data breaches in well respected institutions and we cannot ever fully guarantee that such breaches will not happen. We will tell you of any material data breaches that we discover and that compromise your personally identifiable information.

Review, correction and deletion of information from our records.
Logisens strives to ensure that your personally identifiable information is accurate. Inaccuracies in your personal profile may be changed by you. This is done by logging onto your account and then accessing and changing the inaccurate information. You cannot change biodata, training records or questionnaire data yourself. If you believe that any of this data is inaccurate, please contact us by logging into your account and using the available link. Please provide the details of the data change you are requesting. The request to change your data must be followed by proof of your identity, such as a copy of your driver’s license, passport, birth certificate or national identity card. Information on where to send proof of identity will be forwarded to you in response to your request for a data change. Logisens is committed to using reasonable commercial efforts to address your concerns.

Enforcement.
Logisens utilizes the self-assessment approach to assure its compliance with this policy. Logisens periodically verifies that the policy is accurate, comprehensive for the information intended to be covered, prominently displayed, completely implemented and in conformity with the law. To further ensure enforcement of this policy, Logisens conducts periodic self audits of particular procedures for the protection of personally identifiable information. If these audits uncover any issues or problems with the procedures, corrective action will be taken.

Any questions or concerns regarding this policy or the use or disclosure of personally identifiable information should be directed to Logisens’ CTO, Chris Stockinger at the address given below. If you would like us to respond back to you, please include your contact details. Logisens will investigate and attempt to resolve complaints and disputes regarding use and disclosure of that information in accordance with the principles contained in this policy. For complaints that cannot be resolved between you and Logisens, Logisens has agreed to participate in the dispute resolution procedures of the panel established by the European Data Protection Authorities to resolve disputes pursuant to the Safe Harbor Principles.

Modifications to the Policy.
Logisens reserves the right to modify this policy as needed to reflect changes in laws, Logisens practices and procedures, or requirements imposed by data protection authorities. Logisens will inform customers of changes to this policy through notifications posted on the Logisens website www.logisens.com as well as changes to the LAST UPDATED date, below. Changes will become effective upon posting.
